Adam Hill
Farm Intern
Adam Hill is one of the Weavers Way Farm interns. He was born and raised in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. He is an alumnus of Central High School and recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. Adam was united with agriculture during 5-month stay in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico. There, he studied sustainable, indigenous agricultural practices while living and working with local small farmers and the organization CEDICAM (Centro de Desarollo Integral Campesina de la Mixteca). This peasant run organization and it’s president Jesus Leon Santos won the coveted Goldman Prize for grassroots environmentalism in 2008. Adam is working hard to learn more about urban farming and is already well known internationally for his mastery of presenting turnips.
